Go do it

"For this reason, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous person is powerful in what it can achieve."
When is the last time you did that? Yeah, I thought so. Me neither. Accountability is something we've lost lately. Maybe it's time we got it back. Maybe it's time we sought healing, again, for the first time.
The Bible also says, "And let us consider each other carefully for the purpose of sparking love and good deeds. Don't stop meeting with other believers, which some people have gotten into the habit of doing. Instead, encourage each other, especially as you see the day drawing near."
Encouragement.
Sparking love.
And good deeds.
Let's do it this way. When is the last time you gave considering to just how special you are? God did that very thing this morning. He loves you so much that he considers you his "masterpiece." He created stars and flew them. He created butterflies and let them float. He created flowers and let them grow. But you, oh, you are the best thing He ever did.
Now, you're thinking that perhaps you don't measure up.
But look at this:
Moses stuttered, and was a murderer.
David's armor didn't fit.
Mark deserted Paul.
Timothy had ulcers.
Hosea's wife was a prostitute.
Jacob was a liar.
David had an affair and had someone killed because of it.
Solomon was too rich to get things done well.
Jesus was too poor.
Abram was too old.
David was too young.
Peter was afraid of death.
Lazarus was, dead I mean.
Gideon and Thomas were filled with doubt.
Jeremiah was depressed, and suicidal.
Jonah ran, Elijah faced burn out, Martha worried, Noah got drunk.
And yet God used all of them in spectacular, beautiful, meaningful ways.
Isn't it time you understand that not only do you measure up, you are capable of incredible things. This day. This very day.
So, go do it.
